DeAnn Faith Shoemaker, 71, longtime area resident, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born in Denver on September 18, 1950 to Roy & Marjorie (Feurt) Linderman.

After graduating high school, DeAnn married C. Shelby Shoemaker on July 27, 1968 in Denver. They moved their family to the Fort Morgan area from Denver in 1979.

DeAnn was a caregiver for numerous people through the years. She attended Morgan Community College where she studied and graduated with a degree in early childhood education. DeAnn also worked for the RE-3 School District as a school cook for ten years before her retirement.

She is survived by her three daughters, Dina Shoemaker of Akron, Tina (Ramon) Mendez of Fort Morgan, and Lisa Shoemaker-Martinez (Steve) of Sterling; her brother, Gary Linderman (Suzanne) of Henderson, NV, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

DeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Marjorie Linderman; her husband, C. Shelby Shoemaker; and two sisters, Joyce Little and Seri McBride.

A memorial service will be Saturday, October 30 ^th at 11:00 AM at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1100 West Platte Ave. in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will be at a later date at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
