Deborah A. Blake, 60, long time resident of the Brush & Woodrow communities, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011, at the inpatient hospice unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born January 26, 1951, in Brush, to Carmen & Mildred Davis. Deb worked in the dietary department at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center. She married Virgil Blake on July 20, 1999, in Akron. She enjoyed scrapbooking and crocheting. She was well known for her sweet tooth and always had candy available, especially candy with peanuts. She enjoyed drinking coffee with family & friends. Survivors include her two sons, Eddie Eskew, and his friend, Alison Peltier, and Dennis Eskew, and his wife, Annishia, all of Brush; 1 sister, Pam Robison of Greeley; 3 grandchildren, Cody, Branden, and Alyssa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; 1 brother Richard; 3 sisters, Shirley, Marilyn, and Sharon and her parents. A memorial service will be held Friday, October 14, 2011, at 10:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
