Dee Hastings, 70, longtime resident of Morgan County, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO.

Dee was born September 19, 1945 to Kenneth and Dorothy (Stout) Hastings in Arvada, CO. On March 15, 1968 he married the love of his life, Jennie Bean in Montrose, CO. He was a member of the Platte Valley Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. He enjoyed woodworking, horses, and living the cowboy life. His family was the most important thing to him.

Survivors include his seven children; Marnissa "Marni" Hastings of Aurora, Charles (Tammy) Hastings of Eaton, CO, Jimmy (Lacey) Hastings of Hillrose, CO, Tim (Julia) Hastings of Tucson, AZ, Kristen (Dan) Smith of LaSalle, CO, Dorothy (David) DeMers of Akron, CO and Justin (Cassie) Hastings of Stillwater, OK; one sister Merna Holcomb of New Stanton, PA; three brothers, Denny Hastings of Joes, CO, Roger Hastings of Arvada, CO, and Randy Hastings of Colorado Springs, CO; 19 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Dee will be held at a later date.
