DELBERT ELROY WHITNEY, 68, of Fort Morgan, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012. He was born in Weldona on September 28, 1943 to Frank V. & Ina (Lusk) Whitney. He married Mary Chilson on April 7, 1968 in Fort Morgan. Delbert enjoyed working with his family as a farmer, rancher, and dairyman. Survivors include his wife, Mary Whitney; his five children, Jim & Becky Whitney, Kenny & Tanya Whitney, Kelly & Sarah Whitney, and Justin & Brendee Whitney, all of Fort Morgan and Diane & Matt Baker of Snyder; 13 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Delbert is also survived by three sisters, Esther Phillips of Spring, TX, Twila Clark of Forrestville, WI, and Mary Anne Johnson of Fort Morgan; three brothers, Stanley Whitney of Fort Morgan, Ronald Whitney of Hermatiage, MO, and Wayne Whitney of Scottsbluff, NE; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. At Delbert's request, there will be no services.
