Delores E. Calmer, 82, of Fort Morgan, died Tuesday morning, August 18, 2015 at her home. She was born July 8, 1933 in Julesburg to Clarence & Helen Fox. Delores graduated from Laird High School in 1950, shortly thereafter, on May 20, 1950, she married Louis Barnett with whom she had four children. They moved to Fort Morgan from Wray in 1955. Delores and Louis divorced in 1967. On February 14, 1975, Delores married Verdel "Bud" Calmer. She began her career with Schlumberger in the early 1970's, retiring as Operations Clerk in 1996. Delores belonged to Bunker Hill Country Club in Brush for several years. She was an avid golfer and sports fan. Above all else, Delores enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She attended the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Survivors include her three sons, Douglas Barnett and his wife, Stella of Orchard, Donald Barnett and his wife, Antonette of Table Rock, NE, David Barnett and his wife, Barb of Greeley; her daughter, Debra Sensency and her husband, Bill of Orchard; her sister, Louise Brandon of Alma, NE; her brother, Tom Fox and his wife, Margie of California, 7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Delores was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lucille Kinnie-Maloney, Bernice Wertz, Margy VanDyke, and Marlene Baer; two brothers, Bob Fox and Jack Fox; and her second husband, Bud Calmer. A funeral service will be Friday, August 21st at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church, 16756 County Road 18 in Fort Morgan. Viewing will be held prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made in Delores' name in care of Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
