Denise Attkisson, age 62, died of Alzheimer's on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, with her family by her side in Brush, Colorado.  She was born in Casper, WY on August 26, 1958 to William and Maxine Rissler.  Her Father worked for the Texaco Oil Refinery and her Mother was a loving homemaker.

Denise graduated from Natron County High School in Casper and shortly after married Terry Attkisson.  They celebrated their 44 ^th wedding anniversary in 2020.  Together they joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and continued to enjoy the blessings of the Lord throughout their lives.  Her greatest joy and love was that of her children.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Attkisson; her children, Angie, Corey, Travis and Scott; her grandchildren Austin, Danya, Trapper, Riley, Thatcher, Emery, Leon and Hudson; her sisters, Brenda, Debbie, and Stephanie; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  Denise is preceded in death by her grandchild Shelby; her sister Linda; and her parents William & Maxine.

A funeral service was held Monday, February 8, 2021, at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush, CO.  Interment followed in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
