Dennis Paul
Hallahan
Nov 3, 1955 — Jan 29, 2020
Brush
Dennis Paul Hallahan, 64, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born November 3, 1955 to John and Margaret Hallahan in Brush where he was a lifelong resident.
Dennis attended Gary School outside of Brush, moved to Central Elementary in the 5th grade, and graduated from Brush High School. He also earned his associate degree as an Auto Mechanic from Morgan Community College. As a young man, Dennis was locally famous for his purple 1970 Dodge Challenger nicknamed "The Grape," and his abilities as a mechanic. Dennis married the love of his life, Raina Hobbs, on January 3, 1981 in Brush, and was a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Dennis loved working on Hallahan Farm and Dairy with his parents, wife, sons, and daughters, going to his girls' volleyball games, the challenge of fixing everything in sight, teaching his kids everything he could, and was the keystone of his family. Dennis enjoyed everything automotive and never found a challenge he couldn't conquer, including performing water well work with his father and children, veterinary duties, plumbing, and electrical work. Later in life he worked on the Morgan County bridge crew, adding a whole new group of people to the large list of lives he touched.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret.
He is survived by his wife, Raina; two daughters, Sabrina and Sandrina; two sons, Ryan and Brett, and three grandchildren.
