Dennis W. Hansen, 59, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 17, 2022. He passed away quietly at the home he shared with his soulmate of 23 years, Dawn Marie Johnson. They were joined together September 10, 2001. Dennis was born to James and Norma Hansen on April 16, 1963 in Des Moines, IA.

Dennis owned his own remodeling business and took great pride in his work and the craft that he loved. One of his passions was making furniture and working with wood. Dennis enjoyed music, dancing (especially with his mother, Norma).  He loved his animals (his dogs as well as his horses). Music was very important to him, it was his quiet place. His favorite quote came from the song "Don't worry, Be Happy" and was the advice he lovingly gave to so many. Dennis loved taking road trips to the mountains with Dawn, either on his motorcycle or in his truck.

Dennis also had a great sense of humor and loved using it on any and all, in the hope that he could brighten the day of everyone around him. Dennis most importantly was a man who loved the Lord, his family, and who cherished being a grandpa.

Left behind to carry on his legacy is his Soulmate, Dawn Marie; his children, Scott Watkinson, Danielle (Sam) Ford, Sarah (Kevin) Ford, Jennifer Hansen, and Rebecca (Shane) Hansen. Dennis was also blessed with (8) granddaughters, and (3) grandsons.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Hansen; son in law Kevin Ford, and son in law Shane Hansen.

His Celebration of Life will be Saturday May 7 ^th at 11:00am at Elevating Life Church, located at 16756 County Road 18, Fort Morgan, Co, 80701,  (970) 867-7383. A summer BBQ themed potluck with follow the service at the church.
