Denny Wayne Edmondson passed away March 3, 2022 at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. Denny was born May 10, 1934 in Childress Texas. He moved to the family farm in Knickerbocker Texas in 1941, where he attended school and graduated high school.

Denny lived and worked in Southern Texas until around 1965 when he moved to Wiggins, Co and worked for Glaziers as a welder.  Around 1970 Denny and Ethel and family moved to Fort Morgan.  Denny worked at Cyclone Welding and then a short time later became a Police officer for the Fort Morgan Police Department, where he served for10 years.  Denny had one of the first Police K-9's on the force, Sin Dog. He obedience trained many dogs, as well as held classes for the community.

Denny and Ethel then opened their own business, Denny's Rent-All and Small Engine and Saw Shop, and the Trailways bus station at the corner of Railroad and State.  They quickly outgrew the building and re-located to 817 E. Platte, where it remained for many years.  After Ethel's passing in 1983, lifelong family friend, Julie (Walters) Scheneman assisted him with his business.

When Denny and Nancy met, in about 1998, they chose to build the Small Engine and Saw shop at its current location and Denny continued working on small engines until health issues brought about his retirement in 2019.   He continued to work on his own equipment and tinker around when he could with the help of his friend, Ed Rowland. Denny was a master welder and mechanic.  There were not many things he could not fix or fabricate.  He spent his life working on all types of equipment.  Many that knew Denny knew that he did not sit still very often. Besides having the rental, during slow times, Denny also worked at a local feedlot, delivered Pizza's for Dominos in the evening, worked with his horses, and had a garden every year.

Denny was also a gunsmith, marksman, and an avid hunter.  Denny enjoyed hunting elk, deer, and prairie dogs.  He enjoyed trap shooting with many of his friends on the weekends.

Denny is survived by his wife of 25 years, Nancy and her children, Lorna Kahn and Tracy Queen; daughters, Sheila (John) Hastings, Debbie (Jerry) Anderson and Sherri Pancost; step children Rodney (Matt)Dayley, Tina Cuckow and Stanley (Sirena) Dayley; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and brother Ed (Carolyn) Edmondson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Lora Edmondson; first wife Rene More; his second wife, Ethel Edmondson; and sister Ronda Huffman.

The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at East Morgan County Hospital in Brush for their kindness and amazing care of Denny in his final days.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held on March 30, 2022 at 10:30 AM at the American Legion, 121 Nelson Road Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
