D.J. Dixon-Richards, 45, passed away Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at his home in Fort Morgan, CO. He was born July 6th, 1974 in Sacramento, CA to Jim and Vida Colleen Dixon.

On December 6, 2014 he married Chris Richards in Kansas. They moved from Kansas City to Fort Morgan in March of 2018. D.J. graduated from Sacramento State going on to become a Licensed Social Worker. He dedicated his career to mental health. His compassion, patience, and dedication reached far beyond his own life.

D.J. enjoyed football (a fan of the K.C. Chiefs), plants & gardening, and his beloved Lab Jilly Bean.  He especially enjoyed every moment he could spend bringing a laugh and a smile to a friend.

Survivors include his husband, Chris Richards; parents Jim and Vida Colleen Dixon; 2 brothers, Michael Dixon, Clint Dixon; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a family gathering at a future date.
