Diane Kay Wheeler, long time Brush resident, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at the age of 58. She was born in Boone, Iowa, Jan 25, 1963, to Donald and Faith (Ross) Fairchild.

Diane moved to Brush in 1986, where she met and married the love of her life, Jeff. She had two children from a previous marriage, Curtis and Joe Risdal, and she and Jeff had two children together, Matt and Tiffany.

Diane worked for the Brush Public Schools for nearly 20 years, working with special needs children.

Diane was very old fashioned and enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie, and Hallmark movies. She enjoyed cooking for her family and was a good homemaker. She loved camping, fishing and playing games. She also had a soft spot for the family pets and treated them as if they were her children. Later in life, she enjoyed being close to God.

Diane is survived by her husband Jeff; daughter, Tiffany; sons, Matt, Curtis and Joe; six grandchildren; sisters, Helen (Richard) Johnson, Becky (Todd) Reiper, Brenda (Randy) Stone, Barb (Mark) Reiper, Melodie Lawrence; brothers, Doug Fairchild, Roger Fairchild, and Mike Fairchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Paul Fairchild.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 1 at 2:00pm at the Brush Memorial Cemetery Columbarium.
