Dolores "Dee" Crutchfield, 72, of rural Akron, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. She was born December 18, 1934 in Parker, CO, to Harold & Edna Cherne. When she came to Morgan & Washington Counties in 1978, Dee worked in several area restaurants. In 1980 she married Bill Crutchfield. Dee loved working with horses. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an extended Mother for many. Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Akron; her children, Carl (Flash) Gartrell, Vernie, and her husband, Terry, Chapman of Greeley, CO, Darin Richards, and his wife Alyse, of Littleton, CO, Kenneth Richards, and his wife, Sherry, of Dalhart, TX, Dave Gerwick of Eau Claire, PA, Phillip Crutchfield of Mitchell, NE, Tim Crutchfield, and his wife, Kristy, of Echo Canyon, CO, Michelle of KS, and Misty of Scottsbluff, NE; foster children, Tina Perin, Wendy Weimer, and Tracy Sanders; 1 sister, Lee Beauchamp, and her husband, Jerry, of Hemet, CA, and Harlan Cherne, and his wife Myrna, of Albuquerque, NM; 22 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at 2:30 PM at the Interment Chapel at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Inurnment will follow in the Larkspur Columbarium in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
