Don Koehler, 75, longtime Brush area resident, passed away suddenly Thursday, November 8, 2012, in the emergency room at the East Morgan County Hospital. He was born March 17, 1937, in Sugar City, CO to Reinhold & Sarah Koehler. The Koehler family moved to Brush when Don was a child. He graduated from Brush High School in 1956. He served in the US Navy from 1956 until his honorable discharge in 1959. On April 16, 1960, he married Lillie Kenemore in Clovis, NM. Prior to retirement, Don worked for the City of Brush and later for Morgan County. He retired from Morgan County as the supervisor at the landfill. Don loved music and cars. He enjoyed playing guitars, researching family history, and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He attended the Snyder Bible Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillie of Brush; 4 children, Donna Pursel of Lakewood, CO, Glenda Moore of Greenville, TN, Norman Koehler of Fort Morgan, and Wenona Starbuck of Florence, AL; 1 brother, Danny Koehler of Julesburg, CO; 2 sisters, Patty Hillyer of Enid, OK and Carolyn Greenwood of Brush; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service was held Monday, November 12, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Snyder Bible Church. He will be greatly missed,
