Donald Burrell, 81, passed away suddenly Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. He was born November 22, 1925, in Fresno County, CA, to Ellsworth & Stella Burrell. He served in the US Navy during WW II. He married Corena Potts in Reno, NV. After his discharge, Don worked as a civil engineer for the Harbor Department in Long Beach, CA. After retiring from there Don farmed. In 2005 he moved from Stratford, CA to Weldona, CO, where he lived with his daughter & son-in-law, Paul & Laurie Oliveira, and their family. He enjoyed traveling, especially international travel, and square dancing. Survivors include his children, Mike Burrell of Star Valley Ranch, WY, and Laurie Oliveira of Weldona, CO; 2 sisters, Betty Dooley of Laton, CA, and Edythe Donham of Stratford, CA; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 son, Keith; 4 sisters, and 1 brother. Concluding service and inurnment will be Thursday, November 8, at 11:00 AM in the Grangeville Cemetery in Armona, CA. Cremation arrangements are being handled locally by the Heer Mortuaries & Crematory in Brush & Fort Morgan, CO. Inurnment arrangements are entrusted to the People's Mortuary in Hanford, CA.
