Donald R. "Butch" Jones Jr., 68, lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his home in Fort Morgan. He was born May 15, 1947 in Fort Morgan to Donald and Betty (Murphy) Jones. Butch married Chris Deal on November 2, 2007 in Fort Morgan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, yard work, listening to old country music, watching westerns on TV, riding horses, and his work as an excavator. In his younger years Butch drove a stock car at the local track. He loved to watch his grandchildren play. Butch is survived by his wife Chris of Fort Morgan, his mother, Betty Jones of Fort Morgan, daughters, Dawn Hass (Guy) of Erie, and Lisa Cleveland (Joe) of Montana, step-children, Michael Godo of Denver, Amanda Wood (Coty) of Woodrow, Renee Sperry (Thad) of Woodrow, Dawn Jones of Weldona, Angela Menke (Brian) of Longmont, and Shawn Deal of Fort Morgan, one brother, Jack Jones of Fort Morgan, one sister, Dorothy Lebsock (Edgar), of Texas, and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10:30 am at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens. Following the interment service, you are invited to the Elks Lodge for a reception in Butch's honor. If you are able, please bring a side dish.
