Donald Stewart Norrish, 81, Colorado native and 45-year Fort Morgan resident, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015, in Fort Morgan, CO.

He was born December 13, 1933, in Greeley, CO to Ovid and Gladys Norrish.   Don grew up in Keenesburg, CO where he graduated from Keenesburg High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956 and returned to Keenesburg after. Don married Janice Stevens in Hudson, CO in 1959. They were married 49 years when Janice passed away.

In 1965 he started with Great Western Sugar Company in Brighton, CO, and in 1970 was transferred to Fort Morgan, CO as the Accounting Manager. Don retired from Western Sugar Company in 1996. He was a long time member of the Elks Lodge 1143 of Fort Morgan. He enjoyed camping, fishing with his family and working in his yard. Don loved spending time with his family & friends most of all.

Survivors include his daughter, Kerri (Bo) Tuey of Fort Morgan; his son, Stewart (Kora) Norrish of Brush; four grandchildren, Sommer Bellender, Shay (Nicole) Tuey, Krista Norrish (fiancé, Brandon Martinez), and Kendall Norrish; one great grandchild, Kamdon Martinez; sister, Shirley Strauch, and companion JoAnne Amick.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; one brother, Robert Norrish and his parents.

Funeral services will be at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan on Friday December 11, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Greeley, CO at 2:00 PM.
