Long time Fort Morgan resident Donald "Keith" Wiley was born December 17, 1929 to Kenneth & Lois Wiley in Hale, Colorado. He passed peacefully in his sleep on October 2, 2022 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush, Colorado.
The Wiley family moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado in 1938 and Keith graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 1948. He then farmed with his father for several years south of Ft Morgan. He then started driving trucks working for numerous trucking companies before he and a good friend, Cecil Forbes formed F & W Trucking Company, transporting livestock in the five- state area. After retirement, he missed driving and became a driver for Morgan County Express, transporting patients to and from Children's Hospital in Denver for appointments and treatments. He did this for many years until his health began to decline.
He married Thelma Ostwald on March 26, 1950, in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Together they had three children, Linda, Roger & Randy.
Keith was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Fort Morgan.
He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening his roses, traveling, spending time with family and friends and he loved all his little dogs throughout his lifetime.
Survivors include children, Linda Swanson (Ross) of Pueblo, Colorado, Roger Wiley (Cindi) of Fort Morgan, Colorado & Randy Wiley (Marisa) of Lake Havasu, Arizona; three grandchildren, Trenton Swanson (Rachel) of Encampment, Wyoming, Kyle Swanson (Mallory) of Pueblo, Colorado & Dylan (Nikki) of Orlando, Florida; great grandchildren, Krysta, Kellan, Wiley, Kooper, Macyn, Knox Swanson, and Amelia Wiley; two stepchildren, Robert Eiring, Jr. & Cher Eberly; five step grandchildren & eleven step great grandchildren; his siblings, Harry Wiley of St. Cloud, Florida, Donna Edwards of Tucson, Arizona & Shirley Pugh of Lake Placid, Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Lois & Kenneth Wiley; his sister, Gwen Geist; his first wife of 36 years, Thelma Wiley; and Mary Ann Eiring-Wiley, whom he married in 1996, wife of 26 years.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Serenity Falls Columbarium at Riverside Cemetery, 601 W. 8 th Ave. in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Friends who wish may make donations to the Alzheimer's Association and/or Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center, where Keith spent his last six years of life on earth, receiving the most outstanding, loving care from the entire staff.
