Donna L. Schilling, 86, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Wednesday evening, September 4, 2013, at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born February 12, 1927, in Fort Morgan to Noah & Ethel Ingmire. Donna graduated from Brush High School in 1946. On April 3, 1947, she married Ralph Schilling in Brush. Donna was the former owner / operator of Donna's Diner in Brush. She later worked as a cook at High Plains Corrections Center and prior to retirement, she cooked at the Morgan County Jail.She also worked as the manager of the Brush Court apartment complex for many years. She was a member of the Brush United Methodist Church and VFW #3551 Auxiliary. She loved to cook and crochet. Her favorite time was spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her 4 children, Ron Schilling of Oklahoma City, OK, Randy Schilling of Hillrose, Diana Hernandez of Brush, and Janine Campbell of Fort Morgan; 1 sister, Maxine Galyk of Brush; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a step-grandson, a great granddaughter, her son-in-law, 3 brothers and her parents. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 7, at 10:30 AM at the Brush United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
