Donna Thoma, 55, passed away suddenly at her home on Tuesday, November 11, 2008. She was born January 9, 1953, in Colby, KS, to Joe & Verna Beal. Donna graduated from Arvada West High School. In 1974, Donna moved with her family to the Last Chance Community. On January 12, 1990, she married Rusty Thoma in Last Chance. At the time of her death, Donna worked for the Woodlin School in their cafeteria. Donna was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, reading, working Sudoku puzzles and being with kids. Donna was the Woodlin Class of 2009 Sponsor. All of the students at Woodlin had a special fondness for Donna. Survivors include her husband, Rusty, of Woodrow; 1 daughter, Emma of Woodrow; her mother, Verna Price of Sterling, CO; 7 sisters, Debbie Vedsted of Sterling, Karen Drone, Connie Beal, and Janet Frank all of Arvada, CO; Paula Moisio of Dayton, WA; Mary Thompson and Peggy Bergman both of Puyallup, WA; 4 brothers, George Beal of Ellenwood, KS, Dennis Beal of Briggsdale, CO, Butch Beal of Smithville, MO, and Chauncey Price of Seattle, WA. Also by her brother-in-law, Royce and his two daughters, Kayla and Casie of Woodrow. She was preceded in death by 1 son, Joe Harrison Thoma; her father; 1 brother, Montel Price; and 2 sisters, Betty and Patty Ann. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Howard United Methodist Church in Last Chance. Interment will follow in the Glen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer Mortuary in Brush on Thursday from 2 -5 PM.
