Dora Lorene Mallory, 84, longtime area resident, died Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Porter Adventist Hospital in Denver. She was born May 17, 1929 to Lloyd and Elsie (Martin) Ess in Clark, Missouri. She married Charles R. Mallory on December 5, 1948 in Sturgeon, Missouri. Dora was an active member of the First Christian Church in Ft. Morgan and was in the Debra Group there. She enjoyed traveling, word search puzzles, and feeding and watching birds and squirrels. She loved her family and they were very important to her. Survivors include, her husband of nearly 65 years, Charles, children, Karen Von Feldt (Stephen) of Longmont, Diane Leon (Mark) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Christine Jones (Butch), and Bruce Mallory (Teresa) both of Ft. Morgan, and Dwight Mallory (Julie) of Greeley, grandchildren, Stephanie Paetow (Abe), Amber Sena (Trevor), Tiffany Mallory, Angela Menke (Brian) and Shawn Deal, one great grandchild, Jacquelyn Deal, and one brother, Harold Ess of Mexico, Missouri. Dora was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Mallory, brothers, Fred and George Ess, her sister, Ida Mae Lessley and her parents. Memorial Services will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 10:30 am at the First Christian Church in Ft. Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Ft. Morgan. Memorial gifts may be made to the First Christian Church in Ft. Morgan. Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
