Dora Mae Stickley, 83, died, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.

Dora was born October 22, 1936 in Sidney, MT to Alex & Lydia (Koehler) Reidle. The family moved to the Hillrose area when Dora was a baby and she grew up there, attending school, until she married Jim Stickley on May 1, 1953 in Raton, NM. They moved to California right after they married then returned to Colorado in 1956. They would have celebrated 67 years of marriage this year.

Dora was a waitress in the restaurant business for the majority of her working years, retiring after 25 years at Drovers Culinary Café in Brush. Dora loved people and never met a stranger, which made her a wonderful waitress for many years. She also loved cooking for her family and spending time with them as much as she could. Dora also loved watching the stock car races.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; her five children, Jim Stickley Jr., Joy (Tim) Ludgate, Cindy Bates, Kim (Dan) Dudden, and Tammy (Mitch) Heisel; 12 grandchildren, Timmy, Jason, Jenny, Angie, Tiffany, April, Christopher, Kyrstal, Amanda, Travis, Ryan, Alex, and Andrew. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and one sister, Susan Weimer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Don Reidle; and her daughter-in-law, Max Stickley.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 15 ^th from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel, 222 Cameron Street in Brush.

Funeral services will Thursday, January 16 ^th at 11:00 AM at All Saints Lutheran Church at Eben Ezer in Brush. Services will conclude at the church. After cremation, private family inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan.
