Doran R. Moyer, 89, a resident of Morgan County since 1969, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021.  He was born January 21, 1932, in Bartley, NE to Orville & Florence Moyer.

Following graduation from high school, Doran served in the US Air Force from 1951 – 1953.  Following his honorable discharge, Doran worked in the sugar processing industry – he worked as a sugar cooker.  He managed a Butane Power & Equipment Company, servicing the Morgan County area, prior to moving to Colorado.  He later owned and operated a lawn service company.

Survivors include his four children, Debra Mitchell of Evans, CO, Trudy Forbes of Northglenn, CO; Joel Moyer of Brush, and Maryann Dean of Evans, CO; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, who is due in November. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; an infant son, his brother Dale, one grandson Darrin, and his parents.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush at 10:00 AM   Services will conclude at the Mortuary.  Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Heer Mortuaries & Crematory.
