Obituary

On April the 17 th , 2021 Doris Jean Cooper went to be with her Lord.

Doris was born September 8, 1927 to Ernest and Myrtle Modena in Bryan Township, OK. She retired from Safeway and moved to Calhan, CO, where she and her husband, Bob built the Funky Farm. Her children and grandchildren enjoyed many summer and holidays there. Doris and Robert moved the Funky Farm just outside of Fort Morgan where Doris also held several jobs. Most everyone remembers her for the gigantic cinnamon rolls she made at Memories Restaurant. Doris loved to raise a variety of animals, work in her gardens and flower beds, sewing and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Cooper as well as her daughters, Sharon Bone of Fort Morgan, CO and Linda Garcia of Sterling, CO.

She is survived by her sons, George Neal and his wife, Elaine of New Laguna, NM, Lawrence Neal and his wife, Deb of Hillrose, CO; and her daughter, Kathy De La Riva of Fort Morgan, CO She is also survived by her sisters, Colleen and Shirley; and her brother, Bob, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 1 st . A Celebration of Life will be held after the graveside.
