Obituary

DORIS L. SCHILLING, 82, of Brush, died Thursday morning, July 12, 2012 at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was born in Merino, CO on September 13, 1929 to Wade & Ethel (Jackson) Dilley. She married Martin Schilling Jr. on May 2, 1948 in Brush. Mrs. Schilling was a bookkeeper for Lebsock Clothing and later for The Farmers State Bank in Brush where she worked until her retirement. Doris was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. She enjoyed square dancing, polka, and cooking. She did volunteer work at her church and at Eben Ezer in Brush for several years. She also worked on the family farm alongside her husband. Doris is survived by her son, Howard Schilling of Brush, CO; two daughters, Marlene LaClaire of Greenwood Village, CO, and Colette Schilling of Frederick, CO; her mother, Ethel Dilley of Brush; her brother, Donald Dilley of Longmont, CO, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; her sister, Rozella Blackburn; her husband; and her grandson, Nick LeClaire. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer Street, Brush. Interment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery.
