Dorothy L. Dixon, 77, longtime Brush resident, passed away Tuesday night at the East Morgan County Hospital. She was born February 12, 1933, in Brush, to Isidro & Frances Garcia. On January 12, 1952, Dorothy married Martin W. Dixon in Fort Morgan. Dorothy enjoyed working with crafts, especially sewing, making doll clothing & dolls, and making quilts. She enjoyed watching television. Her favorite past time was spending time with her family. Survivors include 2 daughters, Faye Garner of Lincoln, NE, Patricia Davis of Beatrice, NE, 2 sons, Robert Dixon of Fort Morgan, and Keith Dixon of Brush; 3 sisters, May Romero and June Minton both of Brush, and Jessica Riley of Dublin, NC; 10 grandchildren, & 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, 1 grandson, 1 sister and 4 brothers. Funeral services will be Monday, June 28, 2010, at 10:30 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel on Sunday from 3 – 7 PM.
