Obituary

On June 24, 2013, the Lord peacefully took Eileen Gordon, 88, into His loving arms at Valley View Villa in Fort Morgan following a brief illness. She was born March 24, 1925, in Belleview, CO, to Henry Arthur & Opal Carrie (Brownfield)Bolenbaugh. Eileen grew up and attended school in Greeley, CO. Eileen married Ray P. Gordon in Greeley and they had one daughter. They moved to Fort Morgan in 1948 when Ray became the store keeper for the Great Western Sugar Co. Eileen was the crossing guard for Columbine Elementary from 1982-1997. She did volunteer work at the school as well. Some of Eileen's passions included working in her yard, reading, and loved writing letters to family and friends. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter Sandy Hoover, and her husband Bob of Fort Morgan; her two grandsons, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, parents, two sisters, and a great niece. A graveside service will be Friday June 28, at 10:30 AM, at Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. The Heer Mortuary & Crematory in Fort Morgan is entrusted with the funeral and cremation arrangements.
