Dorothy D. Hoffman, 91, died Thursday October 6 th , 2022, at Avamere Transitional Care in Brighton, CO.
Dorothy is survived by her sister Shirley (Kenneth) Krien of Fort Morgan; sons Darrell Hoffman of Littleton, Roger Hoffman of Aurora, and daughter Ronda (Dave) Bowen of Lochbuie; grandchildren: Terry (Delia) Hoffman, Mike (Jennifer) Hoffman, Janna Thornhill (Marc Sinclair), Justin (Keema) Bowen, and Cody Bowen; great grandchildren: Alan, Alicia (Mitch), Zander, Jillian, Zayne, Alibelle, Eliza, Myla, Mia, and Jackson; great-great grandchildren: Kingston and Hudson.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Henry and Kathryn Geist, her brother Richard Geist, her husband Herman Hoffman, and her grandson Dustin Bowen.
Dorothy was born on January 1 st , 1931, in Fort Morgan, CO to Henry and Kathryn Geist. Dorothy married Herman Hoffman on January 16 th , 1949, at the Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan, CO. Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother, spending time with her family was of the utmost importance to her, and she would do anything for her family. Dorothy enjoyed watching her family grow with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, they brought her pride and would always put the biggest smile on her face.
Dorothy's faith in Christ was paramount to her life, she loved Jesus Christ and thanked Him often for her many blessings. Dorothy was baptized on Feb. 1 st , 1931, at Frieden Church in Fort Morgan then had her confirmation on Apr. 14 th , 1946, at Christ Congregational Church in Fort Morgan. She carried her faith close to her throughout life and attended the First Congregational Church in Globeville, CO and Heritage Church in Arvada, CO. Dorothy entertained many hobbies such as sewing, drawing flowers, coloring, cooking, and home projects. Dorothy also enjoyed many outdoor adventures such as camping, traveling across country, and fishing.
Visitation will Wednesday, October 12 th from 4 – 6 PM at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 13 th , also at Heer Mortuary Chapel.
Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
