Dorothy Charlene Jackson, 87, longtime area resident, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. She was born December 1, 1926 to Amos B. and Catherine M. (Ferguson) Moore in Fort Morgan. Dorothy married Dwayne G. Jackson on February 15, 1945 in Denver. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, cooking, picnics, skiing, and playing bridge. She loved her family and they were very important to her, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Dwayne of Fort Morgan, daughters, Cathy Jackson Rakers, and husband George of Boulder City, Nevada, and Terri Jackson Dill and husband Ron of Ft. Morgan, son, Timothy D. Jackson and wife Linda, of Fort Morgan, sister, Jo Marlene Hoffman of Greeley, grandchildren, Karen Rakers Kamradt and husband Kurt, and Greg Rakers, Jennifer Rakers Nino and husband Randy, Joel Rakers, Brandon Dill and wife Rene, Kelly Dill Geisert and husband Shaun, Matthew Jackson, Zachary Jackson and wife Liz, and Luke Jackson and wife Lexi, great grandchildren, Andrew, David and Caroline Nino, Jackson, Eliot and Josephine Dill and Brenna Geisert. Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Moore, and her parents. At Dwayne's request, there will be a private memorial service. Dorothy's cremated remains will be inurned in the Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Drama Ministry at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan.
