Dorothy Ann Kopetzky, 84, longtime area resident, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan.

She was born March 3, 1932 in Dalton, Nebraska to Anton and Catherine (Wirges) Ketteler.

She married Francis Kopetzky on June 18, 1955 in Denver, Colorado. They moved to Wiggins in 1975 from Commerce City.

Dorothy was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wiggins, serving in the Rosary and Altar Society, and the Legion of Mary.

She was the CCD coordinator/teacher for over 40 years. Dorothy was also a member of the Red Hats and the Long Meadow Club. She enjoyed playing scrabble, and doing puzzles.

She loved her family and they were very important to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include, sons, John Kopetzky (Paula) of Wiggins, Joseph Kopetzky (Kathleen) of Wiggins, Thomas Kopetzky of Weldona, Bob Kopetzky (Karol) of Wiggins, Steve Kopetzky (Sara) of Wiggins, and Rodney Rhoades, (Monique) of Wiggins, daughters, Mary Pachek (her late husband Robert) of Wiggins, and Betty Kopetzky Snelson of Fort Morgan, one brother, Robert Ketteler (Trudy) of Dalton, Nebraska, 36 grandchildren, and 38 great grandchildren.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Francis, one daughter Barbara Rhoades, two sisters, Florence Stigall, and Celestine Ketteler, one brother, Lloyd Ketteler, and her parents.

There will be a visitation at 6:00 pm followed by a Rosary Vigil at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wiggins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at Saint Helena's Catholic Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in the Hoyt Cemetery in Hoyt, Colorado. Memorial gifts may be given to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Wiggins.
