Obituary

DOROTHY E. NOBLE, 98, of Log Lane Village, died early Sunday morning, May 6, 2012 at Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan. She was born November 28, 1913 in Bayfield, CO to Armour & Freda (Hight) Gearhart. She married Clifton Noble in Cortez, CO on February 27, 1937. Mr. & Mrs. Noble lived throughout Colorado and then moved to Oregon. They returned to Colorado in 1955, retiring in Fort Morgan in 1973. Dorothy did bookkeeping and clerical work for several years and she also did child care and foster care before her retirement. She was an active member of the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan where she was very involved with numerous church activities. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Home Demonstration Club in Oregon and Fort Morgan. Dorothy enjoyed doing needlework, sewing, crafts, and woodworking. Most recently she especially enjoyed making cards. Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Kaloma Huntley and her husband, Charles of Log Lane, Pat Thompson and her husband, Al of Fort Morgan, Sherry Reid and her husband, Ronald of Bowling Green, KY; her son, Larry Noble and his wife, Lois of Orting, WA; her sister, Ernestine Brewer of Durango, CO; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenneth Gearhart; and her husband. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 9th at the First Christian Church in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens in Fort Morgan. Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church, 225 West Bijou Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
