Obituary

Dorothy J. Reich – Adkins, 78, life resident of northeast Colorado, passed away early Monday, December 3, 2007, at the inpatient unit at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She was born August 25, 1929, in Hillrose, CO, to Jacob & Mary Mohrlang. She graduated from Brush High School in 1947. Dorothy married William Reich in 1947. He died in 1988. In 1992, she married Ivan Adkins. Dorothy worked as a sales clerk at the Surefine Market in Brush and for Safeway in Brush & Sterling. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brush. Dorothy was a member of the Germans from Russia organization, and VFW #3551 Auxiliary. She enjoyed listening and dancing to polka music, collecting old photos and dolls. Survivors include her husband, Ivan, of Brush; 3 children, Clifford Reich of Cocoa, FL, Roger Reich of Greeley, CO, and Jeanine Dodge of LaSalle, CO; 2 brothers, Harry Mohrlang of Brush, Milton Mohrlang of Lakewood, CO; 3 sisters, Elvina Brunkhardt and Edna Macht both of Brush, and Irene Shank of Denver; and 3 grandchildren. In addition to her first husband preceding her in death, she was also preceded in death by 1 brother Jake and 1 sister Helen. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 7, at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 603 Custer Street in Brush. Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to Hospice & Palliative Care of North Colorado c/o Heer Mortuary, 222 Cameron Street in Brush.
