Dorothy L. Tippit, 88, of Ft. Morgan, died Sunday at the St. Joseph Hospital in Denver. She was born December 25, 1917 in Lima, Ohio to Guy and Gertrude Stager. She married Jim Tippit on September 21, 1947 in Miami, Oklahoma. They moved to Ft. Morgan in 1962. She worked for the Warren Lumber Company and the Chamber of Commerce. When she was able she enjoyed volunteering in the United Methodist Church office, she also enjoyed reading and being home for her family. She is survived by her husband Jim of Ft. Morgan, her son Jerald (Jerry) Tippit of Casper, WY, 1 brother Richard Stager of Nowata, OK, and 2 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Gladys Lewis-Cambel, and her parents. At her request there will be no services. The Heer & Jolliffe Mortuary is charge of the cremation arrangements.
