Obituary

Doug Warner Barker "Bake", 73, lifelong resident of Fort Morgan, passed away March 3, 2026.

Doug was born January 26, 1953, in Fort Morgan to George and Elaine Barker.

Doug was a lifelong member of the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and most of all, spending time with his family. He retired from Western Sugar Co-Op in 2021 after 42 years.

He was preceded in death by parents; his sister, Ann Trout; nieces, Catherine Trout and Angela Trout; his great nephew, Jonathan Trout; and his great niece, Kiaera Trout.

Doug is survived by his nephew, Richard (Keri) Trout; great nephew, Taiton (Tori) Trout; great nieces, Torie (Kacey) Wolfe, Brittany Call (Matt Linker), Elizabeth (Mike) Frost, and Kaitlyn (Brian) Schoenecker.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 14th at 11:00 AM in Riverside Cemetery in Fort Morgan followed by a Celebration of Life at Kukaro Brewing, 120 W. Railroad Ave. in Fort Morgan. The family would like to encourage friends to stop by Kukaro and share some stories and pictures you may have of Bake.
