Dwayne G. Jackson Jr., 92, lifelong Fort Morgan resident and business owner, died early Sunday morning, August 9, 2015 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan. Dwayne was born in Fort Morgan on May 20, 1923 to Dwayne Sr. and Anna (Klingbiel) Jackson. He attended local schools and graduated from Fort Morgan High School before serving his country during in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He married Dorothy Moore in Denver on February 15, 1945. Dwayne owned and operated the Jackson's Ben Franklin Store (Jackson's Five And Ten) in Fort Morgan from 1964 until 1979. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan and a past member of the Sunrise Optimist Club. He enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader for a number of years and being a local businessman. Dwayne's greatest joy was his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Cathy Jackson Rakers and her husband, George of Boulder City, NV, and Terri Jackson Dill and her husband, Ron of Fort Morgan; his son, Timothy Jackson and his wife, Linda of Fort Morgan; his sister, Glaphy Spear and her husband, Gene of Washington; his grandchildren, Karen Rakers Kamradt and her husband, Kurt, Greg Rakers, Jennifer Rakers Nino and her husband, Randy, Joel Rakers, Brandon Dill and his wife, Rene, Kelly Dill Geiset and her husband, Shaun, Matthew Jackson, Zachary Jackson and his wife, Liz, and Luke Jackson and his wife, Lexi; great grandchildren, Andrew, David, and Caroline Nino, Jackson, Eliot, and Josephine Dill, Brenna and Kieran Geisert, and Liam and Aramis Jackson. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy; his sister, Mary Hayes; and two brothers, William Jackson and Donald Jackson. A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 12th at 10:00 AM at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan.
