Dwite Barnett, 90, of Wiggins, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan.

Dwite Dale Barnett was born November 6, 1927 to Forrest D. & Jennie Barnett at home near Eckley, CO. He was educated in one room country schools and graduated from Wray High School in 1946. He began his teaching career in 1946, teaching in a one room country school. He served in the Army from 1950 to 1952. He graduated from CSU with a degree in Vocational Agriculture in 1957. He married Florence Weyerman in 1959. Dwite taught Vocational Ag in Weldona for nine years and then they moved to Wiggins in 1966 where he was Jr. & Sr. High Principal. He received his Master's degree in 1967 and retired in 1987. His passion after retirement was taking care of their rentals, traveling in the RV to most states, and square dancing.

Dwite is survived by his wife; and two children, Helen Brunner (Eric) and Bruce Barnett; and two grandsons, Ryan Brunner (Katrina), and Caleb Brunner.

He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, John.

Services will be at Wiggins Community Church on Friday, June 29th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Fort Morgan.
