Obituary

Dylan Bourquin, lifelong resident of Fort Morgan, passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 50.

Dylan Bourquin was born on June 6th, 1976, in Greeley Colorado, and raised in Fort Morgan.

Dylan spent his early adulthood working in the oilfield and still spoke of those times frequently with fond memories.  He later worked at Clean Harbors where he ran heavy equipment.

Dylan was a quiet person and for the most part kept to himself.  The people that he did let into his life he cared deeply for, and he would say as a matter of fact that he would rather have a hand full of good friends than to have many people in his life that weren't solid. He lived a simple life, and he would tell you that he lived a good life.

Dylan loved dirt biking and spoke often about how much he missed riding and the buddies that he rode with years ago.  Whether it was in the Bijou or up at Taylor Lake he was happy on a bike and with his buddies.

Family was important to Dylan.  In the last several years, he made a point of having lunch with his 96-year-old grandmother, a ritual that was important to them both.

He loved being around the kids (great nieces and nephews and much younger cousins). He got a kick out of watching the silly things they did and said and would play into the silliness for his own amusement. He especially enjoyed watching them be mischievous.

Dylan is survived by his sister Nicki Dodson, his niece Bre Dodson and nephew Tyler Dodson.  Great nieces and nephews: Jackson, Trinity, Lucas and Gemma Hastings. His Grandmother, Wilyodean Reed and several aunts and uncles, and cousins.

Dylan was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Dotti Bourquin and cousin, Jamie Larsen.

There will be a private memorial service held by Dylan's family.  Cards etc. can be sent to Heer Mortuary, 225 E. Platte Ave., Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
