It is with great sadness that the family of Dylan Joseph Thomas announces his passing at his home in Wheat Ridge, Colorado on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the age of 28 years. He was born on July 5, 1990 in McMinnville, Oregon to Monty and Diane (Felton) Thomas. At the age of 5, Dylan moved with his family to Fort Morgan, Colorado.
Dylan graduated from Fort Morgan High School in 2008. Dylan went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sociology from Colorado State University in 2013. Dylan recently worked as a project manager for Duraroot, an Environmental Consulting Company in Golden, Colorado.
Dylan enjoyed fishing, hiking, snowboarding, skateboarding, and pretty much anything to do with being outdoors. He loved animals, especially his hound dog, Gary. Dylan brought joy and laughter to many, was greatly loved, and will be deeply missed by numerous family and friends.
Dylan is survived by his parents, Monty and Diane Thomas of Fort Morgan; his brother, Tyler (Kathleen) Thomas of Broomfield, his nieces, Avery and Parker Thomas, and his nephew, Hugh Thomas; his significant other, Christina Hebb of Wheat Ridge; his grandmother, Shirley Edgar of Westminster; his uncle, Scott (Kelly) Felton of Cascade, Idaho; his aunt, Debbie (Glenn) Shepard of Johnstown, Colorado; his uncle, Mark Budde of Scott City, Kansas; his aunt Mary (David) Ragan of Greenwood Village, Colorado; and his cousins, Jacob Felton, Jantz and Morgen Budde, Kami (Cory) Adolf, and Emily, Kate, Sarah, and Ben Ragan, and Shauna Tomes, and Jeff Klouda.
Celebration of Dylan's life will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Long Meadows Event Center in Wiggins, Colorado. The memorial service will conclude with a luncheon at Long Meadows.
