Earl Ervin Knox, 66, lifelong area resident, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born June 25, 1946 in Brush to Ervin and Elsie (Coder) Knox. Earl married Wendy M. Armstrong on June 28, 1970 in Ft. Morgan. For the last 16 years he and Wendy owned and operated the Knox Trucking Company in Ft. Morgan. Earl enjoyed hiking in the mountains and playing the drums. In the early 70s he was a drummer in a local band. Survivors include his wife Wendy of Ft. Morgan, one daughter, Cyndi Dacus and Jason Alexander, of Denver, two sisters, Carolyn Ocumpaugh and husband Earl of Garden City, Kansas, and Jean Rosenfield and husband Chuck of Denver, two brothers, Alvin Knox of Brush and Dean Knox of Houston, Texas, and grandchildren, Aaron and Keira Knox. . Earl was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Shaver and his parents. There will be a visitation at the Heer Mortuary in Ft. Morgan on Thursday, May 30th from 4 until 6 pm. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Calvary Assembly of God in Brush. Interment will follow in Brush Memorial Cemetery.
