Edith Marie Potthoff, 81 years of age, longtime area resident, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Brush, Colorado surrounded by her children.

Edith Marie was born July 29, 1934 in St. Francis, Kansas to Fred and Rosa (Wagner) Kamla. She married Irvin Dale Potthoff on November 2, 1952 in St. Francis, Kansas. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in Fort Morgan, Colorado. She was baptized at Evangelical Emmanuel Church near St. Francis, Kansas and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Francis, Kansas.

She loved living on the farm and raising her five children. Edith Marie also enjoyed dancing, playing cards, quilting, gardening and attending her grandchildren's activities. There were many family and relative functions that she attended all through her life and to the very end of her days. The time she spent with her family was very important to her. She had so many friends whom she loved and spent a lot of time with also.

Edith Marie is survived by her daughters, Dalrie Skraback (Mike), Margie Roberts (Vern), Joyce Malone (Rick), all of Fort Morgan, Colorado and Becky Maag (Tye) of Ault, Colorado; son, Stan Potthoff (MaryKatherine) of Wiggins, Colorado and sister, Louise Schlepp of St. Francis, Kansas. Edith Marie has twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, her parents, three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter, Jennifer Dhooge.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Sherman Street in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
