Edna L. Norwood, 81, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush. She was born December 8, 1928, near Last Chance, CO, to Okla & Irene Hass. Edna attended schools in Woodrow and Brush, graduating from Brush High School in 1944. On March 30, 1947, she married Dale Norwood in Brush. Prior to retirement, Edna worked at Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center for 37 years. She also had worked as a teacher's aide from Brush School District and worked as a Tupperware dealer. She loved "doing for others" and exemplified what Eben Ezer was founded on. She enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, working in her garden, and housekeeping for others. Her most precious times were spent with her family. She was a longtime member of the Brush Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include her husband, Dale, of Brush; 4 children, Patricia Benson and husband, Al, of Fort Morgan, Marilyn Ford of Brush, Lance Norwood of Hillrose, and Tonya Benich and husband, Rob, of Greeley; 1 brother, Richard Hass of Brush; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Ruby Maxine Hass; 2 brothers, Raymond Hass and Archie Hass and her parents. A memorial service will be held Monday, September 27, 2010, at 11:00 Am at the Church of the Nazarene, 500 Cameron Street in Brush. The service will conclude at the church. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Brush Church of the Nazarene or to Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center both c/o Heer & Dahl Mortuary. An Eben Ezer family memorial service will be held in October.
