Edward Carl Gagen Sr.72 passed away Friday, January 17, 2014. at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush. He was born April 24, 1941, in Elyria, OH, to Edwin P. & Zella Mae Gagen. Ed lived in Arizona from 1977 until 1981 when he moved to Brush. He married Delane Edson on June 12, 1982, in Brush. Prior to retirement, Ed served as the Transportation Director for the RE-2J School District. Ed loved to restore antique tractors and was involved in the Antique Tractor Pullers Association. He was a member of the Rankin Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Delane, 2 children, Betty Finney, and her husband Michael and Edward Gagen Jr. both of Mesa, AZ; his step children, David Miller, and his wife Colleen of Colorado Springs, CO, Lonnie Stewart, and her husband Steve of Chandler, AZ, Merle Hudson of Tucson, AZ, Debbie Parrish of Fort Morgan, and Doug Hudson of Ordway, CO; 12 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephew, Craig Nicholson of Phelan, CA. He was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Nicholson and his parents. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 20, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Rankin Presbyterian Church in Brush. The service will conclude at the church. Friends who wish may make memorial gifts to the Rankin Presbyterian Church.
