Hamburg
Dec 29, 1946 — Feb 5, 2025
Edward Adam Hamburg, 78, passed away peacefully at Sterling Regional Medical Center surrounded by his children due to a brief illness on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
He was born on December 29, 1946 in Brush, CO to Adam and Ethel Hamburg. He was the 3rd of 4 children and was a lifelong resident of Morgan County. During the summer of '65, Edward met the love of his life, Phyllis Herman while cruising Main Street in Fort Morgan.
The two of them fell in love and eloped to Greeley on January 21, 1966. They began their life together in Fort Morgan. Their family grew quickly over the years with the birth of their five children. He later worked at Excel Beef Plant for almost 30 years where he worked his way up to a supervisor position and was beloved by all who had the pleasure of working with him. He was a loving husband and father who always provided for his loved ones. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and his big beautiful smile when he knew he made you and himself laugh.
Edward enjoyed fishing with his wife, watching wrestling, and being surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Phyllis & Edward were lovingly married for 54 years and he will be forever missed by everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his 4 children, Kimberly (Brian) Moore of Cookson, OK, Michael Hamburg (Jake Uhrig) of Otis, CO, Jeremy (Stephanie) Hamburg of Lochbuie, CO, and Brian Hamburg (Tony Rodriguez) of Yuma, CO, three grandchildren, Anthony (Jazmin Malone) Hamburg, Greeley, CO, Amiliana and Maci Hamburg Lochbuie, CO.
