Edythe Winona Roberts, 87, died Thursday, February 5, 2009 at the Sunset Manor Care Center in Brush. She was born November 20, 1921 in Funk, Nebraska to Charles and Orra (Darnell) Bonser. She married Russell Roberts on December 20, 1948 in Messex, Colorado. They farmed south of Goodrich and then northeast of Fort Morgan beginning in 1952. Edythe was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Fort Morgan. She was an active member of the Wildcat Home Extension Club for many years. She enjoyed crocheting and working in her garden and flower beds. She took care of the livestock on their farm and would also drive trucks during harvest. Survivors include sons, Russell E. Roberts Jr. of Montrose, Richard H. Roberts of Aurora and Edwin E. Roberts of Fort Morgan, and daughter, Evelyn O. Canis of Auburn, California, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Edythe was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell, four sisters, Elsie Bonser, Marian Bonser, Pearl Caron and Lois Mitchell-Revelle, three brothers, Harry, Howard and Harvey Bonser. Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 2 until 4 PM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Interment will follow in Memory Gardens.
