Obituary

Eileen A. Albert, 81, longtime Morgan County resident, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center in Brush.  She was born September 18, 1940, in Greeley, CO to Ed & Nellie Bellis.

Eileen graduated from Weldon Valley High School in 1958.  Prior to retirement, Eileen had worked at several area banks including Farmers State Bank in Fort Morgan, Morgan County Federal Savings & Loan, and Bank of Colorado.  Eileen grew up attending the Nazarene Church of Weldona.

Eileen enjoyed watching all of the Colorado sports teams, sewing, working with horses, and a passion for horse racing.  She fulfilled her bucket wish list by going to the 2016 Kentucky Derby with her sister Joanne, and her two daughters.  Her favorite time was spent with her family, especially her daughters, granddaughters, and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her two daughters, Kim Wolever of Snyder and Denise Turner of Arvada, CO; her two sisters Peggy Bellis and Joanne Gosselink of Brush; one brother Jerry (Geva) Bellis of Texas; 6 granddaughters (Raelene Massey, Danielle Ziegler, Tressa Bass, Shelby Milleson, Mardee Parachini, and Amber Wolever) and 6 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ed and Nellie Bellis, and one brother, Jesse Bellis; her son-in-law Craig Wolever; her brother-in-law Jerry Gosselink; and a grandson in law Ty Milleson.

Funeral services will be at the Heer Mortuary Chapel in Brush on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
