Eileen Margaret "Toots" Wilson, 90, former Brush resident, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Morning Star Memory Care Center in Fort Collins, CO. She was born October 22, 1930, in Kintyre, ND.
Eileen was raised in Braddock, ND on a farm with a large family. She attended a rural school in Braddock and high school in Bismarck. Eileen married Norbert "Shorty" Wilson on July 30, 1954, in Bismarck, ND. The Wilson family made their home in Stratton, CO and after their children left home, the Wilsons moved to Brush in 1977. Eileen and Shorty were very active in the Brush VFW #3551 and the Auxiliary organization. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and baking. She was often complimented about her "world's best caramel rolls!" Shorty passed away August 9, 2016 – they would have celebrated their 67 th wedding anniversary the day after her death. Eileen spent the last 3 years of her life at Morning Star Assisted Living in Fort Collins to be closer to family. She made many friends with other residents and staff and the family would like to thank them for taking such good care of her.
Survivors include her 2 daughters Roxan (Gerry) Sianez and Colleen Jo Weigand; her son Gary (Sharon) Wilson; 2 brothers Robert "Bobby" Schuette and Richard "Jiggs" Schuette; 1 sister, Lorraine "Bunny" Schuette-Wolf-Rodriguez; 5 grandchildren Jonathan (Kathryn) Weigand, Christina Davis, Rebecca (Chad) Wohlers, Kayleen (Patrick) Hansen, and Rory Sianez; and 9 great grandchildren Ryder, Harvick and Jarrett Hansen, Addison Davis, Rachel and Cassandra Weigand, Hailey, Zoe, and Colton Wohlers. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son-in-law Michael Weigand; a grandson-in-law Ray Davis; brothers, Maynard Schuette, Alton Schuette, Vern Schuette, Harry Schuette; 2 sisters Althea "Dolly" Schuette – Muchow and Audrey "Honey" Van Dyke; and her parents.
