Elaine Claire Barker, 84, lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at her home in Ft. Morgan. She was born August 8, 1927 in Rapid City, South Dakota to Fred and Mabel Randolph. Elaine married George W. Barker on December 8, 1945 in Greeley, Colorado. George passed away in June of 1966. Elaine was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ft. Morgan. She was also a member DOES. Elaine enjoyed trips to the mountains, humming birds, cooking, crafts and tending to her flower garden. She also liked to watch the Rockies and the Broncos. Elaine is survived by her son Doug Barker of Ft. Morgan, her daughter, Ann Trout of Log Lane, her grandson Richard Trout and his wife Missy of Brush, one nephew, Elmer Barker of Weldona and one niece, Maxine Lorenzini of Weldona, 10 great grandchildren and family friend Jerry Hodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George, granddaughters, Angie Hilliard, and Catherine Trout, and her great-great granddaughter, Kiaera Trout. Graveside Memorial Services will be Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Riverside Cemetery in Ft. Morgan. Memorial Gifts may be made to the Ft. Morgan Police Department's Blue Santa Program. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
