Eleanor Roberta (Short) Proctor, 99, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at South Platte Health & Rehabilitation Center in Brush. She was born on July 8, 1923, south of Sibert, Kit Carson County, Colorado to Schyler & Zola Short.

Eleanor married Glenn E. Proctor on April 19, 1946. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with people, her family and she was involved in everyone's life.

She is survived by her son, Thomas G. Proctor; son-in-law, Charles Ehlers; her grandchildren, Michelle Ann (Ehlers) Peterson, Neal Andrew Ehlers (Sarah), Michael Anthony Ehlers (Michelle); 6 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eleanor (Reid) Short, and her nieces and nephews.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Schyler & Zola Short; half-sister, Mildred; daughters, Judith Ann Proctor, Mary E. (Proctor) Ehlers; brother, Harold (Bud) Short, and all her cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Heer Mortuary Chapel in Fort Morgan. Services will conclude at the chapel.
