Elizabeth Jean Midcap, 87 longtime area resident, died Friday October 8,2010 at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan. Elizabeth was born July 14, 1923 in Boulder County, Colorado to Forrest W. and Flora (Windes) Knaus. On December 15, 1942 she married J. Thomas Midcap in Boulder, Colorado. They live south of Ft. Morgan in Adams County for 32 years until moving to Wiggins 26 years ago. She was a member of Howard Methodist Church in Last Chance in her younger years. Elizabeth enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Survivors include her husband, J. Thomas of Wiggins, two sons, James T. Midcap of Watkinsville, Georgaia and Daniel B. Midcap of Tucson, Arizona and two grandchildren. Elizabeth was preceded in death by two sons, Carl Midcap and David Midcap, one brother, Paul Knaus and her parents. Memorial Services will be Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:30 pm at the Heer & Dahl Mortuary Chapel in Ft. Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens. Memorial Gifts may be made to the American Red Cross. The Heer & Dahl Mortuary in Ft. Morgan is in charge of the cremation arrangements.
