Elizabeth M. Wasson, 99, died at the East Morgan County Hospital in Brush on Saturday, March 28, 2015. She was born to John and Elizabeth Muth in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 6, 1915. Elizabeth married Warren Wood, who passed away. She then married Elgie Wasson. He, too, is now deceased. Following the death of Elgie, Elizabeth moved to the Tabor Apartments in Brush, where she never missed Friday morning coffee hour. During the last three and a half years she lived with her neighbors at Hansen Apartments, where she loved to play bingo and enjoyed the fellowship at meals. After moving to Eben Ezer skilled nursing, Elizabeth was often seen enjoying her spot near the fireplace. She lived out her Lutheran faith from the time she was a small child. Hymns and scripture were her strength and comfort. She is survived by her four children: Harvey Wood (Norma) of Thornton, CO; Darlene Kelley of Brush; Carol Nelson (Richard) of Sun City, AZ; Judy Moore of Sun City, AZ; 14 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, one sister, and her husbands. A funeral service will be held Friday, April 3rd at 2:00 PM at All Saints Lutheran Church, Brush. Interment will be in the Brush Memorial Cemetery.
