Elmer J. Krening, 85, life resident of Morgan County, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at his home. He was born November 2, 1928, in Brush, to John & Elizabeth Krening. Elmer served in the U.S. Air Force. Following his discharge, he married Rose Marie Kembel in Fort Morgan in 1956. Elmer's passion was working on his farm. He enjoyed visiting with people and watching western movies. He especially enjoyed being involved in his granddaughters lives. He was a member of the VFW Post #2551. Survivors include his 3 children, Terri (Jon) Karas and Van Krening all of Fort Morgan; Nancy Bedford (Cary) Bedford of Sterling; his brother, Ralph (Jim) Krening of Fort Morgan; and 2 granddaughters, Trista & Nicole. He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 sister, Ruth Berndt, 1 granddaughter, Jennifer; and his parents. At Elmer's request no service will be held.
